History

Last (or 5) 16’ skiff built by my dad and Uncle, Emmett and Gerry McGann. Built in 1939. Last sailed in 1940. Rig lost at Squadron open day in 60’s, where Gerry was the commodore. Second fastest 16’ skiff on Perth Waters in its day. Converted to tender to 36’ launch Eloura that we built in 60’s and stayed in mooring at Rotto for years. Refurbed in 2000, with new glass sheathing, showing off the lovely Queensland Red Cedar planking and new deck. Now a lovely 82 year old river boat. Does about 5-6 knots with (slightly noisy) Stuart engine (1953)
