+Potters Gorge is where you camp and launch your boat.  A beautiful camping area with nice facilities however you need to bring your own drinking water and firewood.  Check the Potters Gorge camping information at the link above for more information.  The Wellington Dam Kiosk is a few km further down the road.  A nice little excursion is to sail down and tie up on the shore a bit before the dam wall and walk up the hill to the kiosk.

The ramp, seen on the right in the photo above,  has a fairly shallow slope into the dam but is fine to use.  The dam bottom in the vicinity of the ramp is smooth and rock hard, your anchor will simply slide across it.   Moving your boat to the area in front of the camping area will give you better anchoring.
