-Believe it or not Dumbleyung has a yacht club and a waterski club.  When a large rain event occurs and fills the lake (seemingly rarer these days) the locals drag their surf cats and ski boats out of their sheds and go and play.  The lake is huge, 52 square kilometres (Sydney Harbour is 55) so when it fills it is worth a visit.   The edge of the lake is filled with dead trees so unfortunately there are limited places on the shoreline to pull up.  The yacht club and the ski club have the main beaches you can use.  An interesting challenge is to attempt to find the channel into the Coblinine River through all the dead trees. Overall a unique sailing experience.  +{{ dumbleyung:PA075101.jpg ? 700 }}

-Camp in the town at the council camping ground with facilities, or camp in the field behind the GODI (Grand Old Dumbleyung Inn) for free without facilities. +
