History

Built by a professional boatbuilder in Ballarat in 1992. Sold to Nick Granger in 1994 who with a mate John Freeman added the side, fore and aft buoyancy compartments/lockers. He then sold it to Wes Cross who worked for Marine and Harbours but he hardly sailed her at all and eventually sold it to Mark Riordan who trailed her up to Port Hedland but found the boat needed more sailing skill than he had. On April 1st 2014 he put her on Gumtree and Mike Lefroy and I bought her. We have been sailing her consistently since then and have taken her to many locations around WA Lake Dumbleyung, Walpole, Albany etc. She was second in the C Division of the Retro Series in 2017. She did a reenactment of Stirling’s voyage up the Swan River in 2018. There was a website about her www.boats.duncan.com since taken down, and as she was one of the earliest Caledonia Yawls built she has been a touchstone for many builds around the world via that website.
